Fandoms: Avatar the Last Airbender, BNHA, Captain America, Legend of Zelda (Linked Universe, BOTW), Merlin, Miraculous Ladybug, Narnia, Original fic, Rise Of The Guardians, Spider-man (Tom Holland movies), Star Wars (Prequels and Originals), and Thor.

Strengths: Preserving the Author's voice, developmental editing (helping develop the plot/storyline, character arc, or worldbuilding, finding plot holes, etc.), checking for consistency, some copyediting, bouncing ideas off of, and encouraging you to keep writing, among others.

The story is an AU where MJ and Peter moved out to California after high school graduation, but life sort of kicked them in the teeth and they had to change their plans. Happy to provide additional details if needed.

Fandom: MCU, Captain America

Characters/Pairings: Steve Rogers/James "Bucky" Barnes, Ensemble Supporting Cast

Rating & Warnings: E/NC-17. There's an on-page rape in the final chapter, extremely dubious consent between the main pairing characters, a lot of violence and gore throughout the fic, and some accidental torture between friends. This is a dark!fic, and kind of skirts the line between "Fandom Typical Tags for Winter Soldier Related Trauma" and "Hydra Trash Party" (there's no sex trauma related to Bucky's time with Hydra, but there's a lot of dehumanization and physical/mental abuse). It's a "Winter Soldier mistakes Cap as his handler" fic. If you me know your specific or potential triggers/squicks, I can double-check.

Estimated Fic Length: ~16k-25k left, so all together the fic will probably be between 65k-80k words.

Notes: The first 51k is already posted up on AO3, and now I've got a mess on my hands. This is the first longfic I've ever gotten far enough on to start doing actual resolutions and it. . . uh, kinda shows? Originally there were supposed to be 30 chapters total, but I think I've whittled down the excess so there's only 5 chapters left, ranging from 900 - 6k words in length (because chapter consistency is for people who know what they're doing). Anyway, I need someone to hold my hand, pat my head, and steer me back on track when I start getting distracted by subplots and the shiny secondary characters. Also, because of how long it's been since I wrote some of these scenes, I need a second set of eyes to make sure it's all written in the same voice/style so that you can't tell which scenes were written this year and which have been sitting in a drawer since 2015.

The fic is Post-CA:TWS, but canon divergent from the ending on (so you don't need to have seen any of the later movies or shows in the MCU). I reference some comics stuff, but again, you don't need to actually have read Brubaker's run or anything; everything you need to know is in the narrative and I usually put an author's note for extra clarity (I also do this with all of Tony's pop culture references and whenever I go too hard on military jargon). Unfortunately, because I am struggling with making my resolutions not suck or come off as melodrama, you will need to be familiar with what has already happened in the fic and how things have been foreshadowed to see if that's paying off (though you won't need to beta previously posted chapters) (except for the one I am rewriting because Story Structure Is Hard™).

I really want to finish this fic by the end of the year, but I don't think I can without help.

This fic takes place during the s7-8 hiatus for Supernatural, and post TASM 2/pre-CA: The Winter Soldier for MCU.
I aged Peter up so that he's in his early twenties when Sam and him get involved (because otherwise it's pretty creepy).
I've written 6k so far, and I might double that in the end.

My main concern is grammar/syntax/voc, as I said but if you have any suggestions plot-wise or think my plot really not coherent or the characters are really OOC, don't hesitate to tell me.

I'm looking for a beta for a kidfic with the focus solidly on the non-kid characters. Basically the premise is that thanks to Soviet experiments and a shady Russian fertility clinic, Natasha and Bucky are the genetic parents of a preteen girl, and between Avengers and CA:TWS Natasha "adopts" her to get her out of the Russian orphanage system and for emotional reasons that she doesn't quite understand (and that I'm still working out myself).

Although given the premise an original character is unavoidable, I want to focus on how this affects Natasha, who has no idea how to do this whole parenting thing, Steve, who starts a relationship with Natasha shortly after CA:TWS, and Bucky, who is in no shape to deal with anything, let alone a medical workup revealing that he's got a kid.

If you want to get a feel for my writing skills, there's a short prequel to this that is currently the only post on my journal. It's in a very different style than what I'm planning for the main fic, but I thought it might be relevant.

Hi! I'm a 10 year veteran of the USAF as well as a new-minted MD. I can't really do traditional beta work like proofreading, story arc, characterization, etc due to both time limitations and excessive neuroticism.
